The Taft College Baseball team hosted number 2 ranked San Joaquin Delta College at Cougar Field on Saturday and lost by the score of 11-4. Taft starter, Micah McCulley took the loss tossing 3.2 innings and allowing 9 runs, 3 earned runs on 6 hits and 4 walks. Tait Ludwick tossed 1.1 scoreless innings and Kaivon Kealoha tossed 2 scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
Offensively, Noah Sirkel led the way for the Cougars collecting 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 RBI. Wesley Hebert went 2-for-5 with a double, and Jade Smoot collected a pair of RBI's while scoring 1 run with a 1-for-2 performance.
The Cougars will host Antelope Valley College on Thursday February 15th at 2:00 pm. Nick O'Conner will be on the mound to start the game.
