Taft College traveled to Reedley on Thursday to play a must-win game. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good day for the Cougars as they lost 16-5. Cougar starter Mark O'Connor tossed just 1 inning and allowed 7 runs. Three other Cougar pitchers got work out of the bullpen.
Offensively, The Cougars had 15 total hits. Richard Ortiz had a solid 3-for-5 performance. Five Cougars had 2-hit apiece.
Taft College will finish up their season on Friday, April 28 on Cougar Field as the host Reedley College for the 3rd game in the series. Game time is set for 2:00 pm.
