On Thursday, the Taft College Cougars went on the road for game two of the conference rivalry series against Fresno City. Mark O'Connor tossed 7.1 masterful innings; striking out four, and allowing just 1 hit to earn the win. Seth Sorensen collected 5 outs to close the game and seal the dominating victory.

Offensively, The Cougars barreled up 14 hits, and 9 runs all in the first three innings of the game. Nick Kawano had a solid 3-for-5 performance at the plate. Kyle Gaura went 2-for-3. Richard Ortiz plated 3 RBI's in a 2-for-5 performance. Brendan Halstrom and Jayce Gardner each got 2 hits as well, and Travis Turner went 1-for-4 with 3 RBI's. Brandon Stevens and Dominic Tating both collected singles.

The Cougars have won the season series against Fresno City and will play the third and final game at home on Saturday April 8, at 1:00 pm.
