On Tuesday, Cougar sophomore ace Robby Brewster took the mound in Los Angeles tossing 7 innings and giving up 3 runs on 7 hits while striking out 5.
The Cougar offense scored 10 runs on 15 hits with Robert Higgs leading the way, going 4-for-4 at the plate with an RBI. Travis Turner went 3-for-5, while Fabian Gutierrez and Brendan Halstrom each drove in 3 runs apiece.
Brett Haney, Caleb Newman, and Spencer Throgmorton combined to pitch the last 2 innings and gave up no runs.
The Cougars play their final pre-conference game on Saturday February 20th at Victor Valley College.
