Taft College dropped game two of three against West Hills at Coalinga in the ninth inning by way of walk off. Falcon catcher Preston Riley singled into right field to drive in Mckay Glines with one out in the bottom of the ninth to complete the late comeback.
The Cougars stuck for 3 runs in the first and 1 run in the third inning but were stumped the rest of the game.
Cougar pitcher Tyson Canfield held the early 4 run lead tossing 6 shutout innings giving up just 2 hits while striking out 5. Matt Rogers pitched 2 innings giving up 3 runs on 4 hits and Shane Kotz took the loss in the ninth.
Fabian Gutierrez went 2-for-4 with a double while Shane Kotz and Austin Pendergrass each had a single. Richard Ortiz and Robby Brewster collected an RBI on groundouts.
