With the loss, the Cougars head into their final game of the season Friday with an overall record of 13-21 and a Central Valley Conference record of 6-16.

Fresno followed up with another one in the seventh with another run scoring single before capping it off with two runs in the ninth to seal the victory with one of the runs coming on a wild pitch. All totaled, Fresno had seven hits in the game.

Meanwhile, the Cougars only had five hits in the game. Brendon Halstrom, Travis Turner, Dayton Wilson and Austin Pendergrass each were 1-for-3 with Pendergrass' hit coming on a double.

On the pitching side, Will Moore pitched six innings allowing three hits, a run (earned) while walking five and striking out six batters.

Matt Rogers threw an inning allowing two hits and a run (unearned) while Caleb Newman threw 1 1/3 giving up two hits and two runs (both earned). Newman also walked and struck out a batter.
