TAFT, CA – Taft College Baseball and Softball will host its 9th Triple Play Dinner and Auction on Saturday, January 20, 2024. The event will be held on the campus of Taft College in the Student Activities Center. No host cocktails will begin at 5:00 pm and dinner will start at 6:00 pm.
As always, there have been outstanding speakers from the past. This year's speaker is former Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop and manager Bill Russell headlining the event. Russell played his entire career with the Dodgers for 18 years becoming a 3-time National League All-Star, along with winning four National League pennants and two World Series titles in 1981 and 1988. He replaced Dodgers legendary manager Tommy Lasorda from 1996-1998.
In one of the most prestigious fundraisers at Taft College, there will be a silent and live auction with many attractive items. The $750 Home Run table will have TC baseball and softball swag, 4 framed autographed Bill Russell pictures, two bottles of wine and snacks. The dinner will be catered by Salty's BBQ.
Sponsored tables can be purchased for $750 (Home Run), and single seat reservations to this event are $75.
