On June 11, Taft College's Kanoe Bandy was honored and recognized during the James J. Corbett Awards Luncheon at the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics' (NACDA) 54th Annual Convention at the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Florida. Bandy was one of 28 winners throughout various levels of collegiate athletics to be named an Under Armour Athletic Director of the Year.

Bandy was joined by her son as well as numerous collegues from the California Community College Athletic Directors Association (CCCADA).

She was one of four community college recipients nationwide and one of just three from the state of California to earn the honor. The ADOY Award highlights the efforts of athletics directors at all levels for their commitment and positive contributions to student-athletes, campuses and their surrounding communities.
