Bandy honored at CCCAA Convention

Taft College athletic director and women's volleyball head coach Kanoe Bandy was honored by the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) on Thursday for being named an Under Amour Athletic Director of the Year by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).

Bandy was recognized by Carlyle Carter (pictured), Executive Director & CEO/President of the CCCAA at the Management Council Business Meeting as part of the 22nd annual CCCAA Convention in Concord.

"The California Community College Association would like to extend our congratulations to Kanoe Bandy, Director of Athletics at Taft College for being selected as a 2018-19 Junior/Community College Under Armour Athletic Director of the Year," said Carter in a prior statement. "Ms. Bandy is an outstanding professional and must be tireless because she is consistently volunteering to serve on committees within our Association. I can think of no one more deserving of being recognized as a recipient of the Under Armour AD of the Year Award."

Carter was one of 10 founding fathers of the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA), which is an affiliate group of NACDA.
