Our spotlight athlete is Marcos Moreno. Marcos is one of four sophomores on the Taft College soccer team. He has been through a lot in his two years. Last year he was a part of the team that made it to the final four. He is a great role model for his teammates on and off the field, always representing the best of what the TC program has to offer. When Coach Cutrona was asked if he could have one of his players speak about his experience at Taft College at a Counselor luncheon he instantly thought of Marcos. Marcos is such a good representation of what the program is all about and he did a fantastic job with his presentation in front of faculty and staff. He does a great job on the field as well, starting in 10 games and playing in all 15 this season. He scored his first goal of the season on Friday against Fullerton College. Because of his amazing work for the TC soccer program on and off the field Marcos is the spotlight athlete of the week.
