Meet Taft College’s Athletic Trainer Bruce Ferguson.
Bruce was born and raised in Ridgecrest California. He attended Cerro Coso Community College then obtained his bachelors at CSUB in Physical Education. Bruce is also a United States veteran; he served in the Marines from 1984 until 1989.
Bruce originally planned to become a history teacher, but when he and his pals watched a football game, he noticed the athletic trainers and thought it looked like a fun profession.
He has worked at Taft College for 22 years and genuinely cares about his student athletes. He never fails to put a smile on people’s faces with his contagious optimistic attitude and energy. The Taft College Athletes and Athletic staff appreciate Bruce so much and couldn’t imagine this athletic program without him.
