Taft College freshman Jennifer Vera was named the Central Valley Conference Midfielder of the Year.
Vera, originally out of Pete Knight High School in Palmdale, led the conference in scoring with 11 goals and 30 points. Her eight assists ranked second.
Taft went 15-5-2 overall, finished third in the CVC at 8-3-1, and qualified for the Northern California Regional Playoffs.
