Steve Antich & Kristin (Carlson) Antich

Kristin played softball here at Taft College in 1991 along with her husband Steve who was a member of the baseball team from 1989 to 1991.  Both Kristin and Steve went on to Cal State University East Bay where Kristin received a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development along with a Teaching Credential and Steve graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biology along with a Teaching Credential.  Steve went on to get a Master’s Degree in Education from Southern Oregon College.

Kristin is proud that she was the first person in her family to go to college, and Taft started her educational journey.  When asked, “What was her best memory”, Kristin said that the road trips were fun with her team.  Coach Bandy always pushed us to do better, but he also knew each players strengths and limits.  He was the best coach she ever had.  Kristin also remembered that they stopped at Taco Bell in every city and she learn a good lesson… don’t drink an XL soda before heading back on the bus for the ride home!

Kristin and Steve reside in Beaverton Oregon. Kristin is an Elementary school teacher and Steve teaches high school biology and genetics.  They have two children, a son, Tyler 18 and a daughter Emma 15.
